Welcome to the wikispace for Simply Irresistible: Storytimes for Newborns to Two Years!
People who attended the “Simply Irresistible” workshop expressed a need for some mechanism to share resources – stories, songs, fingerplays, etc. In response to this need, we at Infopeople have established a workshop wiki. Anyone who attended the workshop has received an invitation to add content to this wiki, and instructions for how to do so. Here's a good action song that is catchy, there is a melody to the song (you can listen to a sample clip at http://cdbaby.com/cd/marylee3) This is a good one to do with infants, as they can get lifted into the air at the end:

This is the "Bumblebee" rhyme I shared at the Workshop in Ventura.
The Bumblebee went round the barn -Circle around child
With a sack of honey under his arm -Keep circling
And went BZZZZZZZZ - zero in on favorite tickle place.

I have used a slightly different version of "Zoom, zoom, zoom" to end my storytimes for years--it's fun, and is a clear way of defining the end of storytime and "launching" everyone into the next part of their day.
